What Shipped

Motion earns attention in a crowded inbox. Making a GIF used to mean a designer, an export pipeline, and a file that broke the email’s weight budget. Now it’s a sentence in chat:
Brew’s Animator turns any static image into a GIF. That covers an image Brew generated, a product shot you uploaded, or an asset already in the email.

On Brand, Including the Motion

Generated imagery isn’t styled per prompt. It follows your brand’s image-style.md, the markdown spec Brew writes from your site. That file covers palette, subjects, composition, lighting, and a hard list of what to avoid. A GIF animated from one of those images inherits the same art direction. The motion looks like you, not like a stock library. If a generated image drifts off style, the fix lives in the file, not the prompt. Edit image-style.md in the Brand tab and every image after that follows. Set a Design Baseline covers both brand files.

Use It with Restraint

Static images are the default for a reason. Keep motion subtle, limit yourself to one or two GIFs per email, and point them at hero or product areas. And keep GIFs under 2 MB so they load fast on a phone connection. A GIF nobody waits for drives no engagement.

From Chat, Agents, or Code

  • Chat. Ask, and the Animator handles it.
  • Agents. create_gif over MCP does the same job.
  • Code. Image to GIF is a runnable capability in the API Catalog. Try it there against your own brand and copy the exact call.

Get Started

Open any email, add an image to chat, and ask Brew to animate it. Email Tools covers the Animator alongside the rest of the image toolkit.
