What Shipped
Moving to Brew used to mean leaving your best emails behind. MJML templates, React Email components in your codebase, and last year’s best sends all had to be rebuilt from a prompt. Now Import email takes them as they are. Drop in an HTML, MJML, EML, or React Email file, and it lands on the canvas ready to edit. Import is free. It’s a straight conversion with no AI, so the same source always imports the same way.How It Works
1
Open Import email
On the canvas, click the
</> button, Import email, in the toolbar
on the right.2
Drop a file or paste the source
It takes
.html, .mjml, .eml, or a React Email .jsx or .tsx file,
up to 5 MB. Your browser reads the file, so it’s never uploaded.3
Edit it like any Brew email
The title is detected from the source, and an
.eml message’s subject
becomes the title. From there, edit it, test it, and send it.What Comes Across
- Images. Brew copies the images it can reach into Brew, so the email doesn’t depend on your old host.
- EML messages. The HTML body and its inline images come across. Other attachments are dropped.
- React Email. Static values,
PreviewProps, and components defined in the same file fold into the design. Anything that has to run is refused, and Brew names the line. - Nothing half-imported. If the source can’t become an editable email, nothing is saved.
From an Agent or Code
Ask your agent to “import this MJML template into Brew.” It callsimport_email with the source. Code uses POST /v1/emails/import with the
content and its format: html, mjml, jsx, or eml.
Get Started
Open Emails in the sidebar and click</> in the canvas toolbar.
