Connect your Mailchimp account
In Brew, go to Integrations and click the Mailchimp card. You’ll be redirected to Mailchimp to authorize the connection. Brew never sees your Mailchimp password or API keys.
Export a Template
Once connected, export any email to Mailchimp:- Open an email you’ve created in Brew
- Click Send
- Choose Export template to Mailchimp
- Give it a name, check the subject line, and click Export
Where It Lands
Exported templates appear under Campaigns → Email templates, ready to use in campaigns and automations.What the Template Contains
Brew exports the full HTML. Images stay hosted on Brew’s CDN and links keep their destinations. Check the template in a Mailchimp campaign preview before you send. Unsubscribe link. It becomes Mailchimp’s*|UNSUB|* tag, which Mailchimp turns into its hosted unsubscribe link when a campaign sends. A test email can show the tag unexpanded.
Editing and Re-exporting
Open a template and choose Edit, then Edit Code, to change the HTML. Because Brew exports a fully custom HTML template, Mailchimp treats it as a code-based template. It won’t be editable in Mailchimp’s drag-and-drop block editor, only through the HTML code editor. Make design changes in Brew and re-export as needed.From an Agent or Code
From an agent,export_email over MCP exports a design to Mailchimp. From code, send POST /v1/emails/{emailId}/export with "provider": "mailchimp". Connect Mailchimp in the app first.
Export is free. Pass dryRun: true to check the design and the connection without creating a template. A dry run doesn’t test whether Mailchimp accepts the template: only a real export does.
The template takes the email’s title unless you pass templateName (up to 100 characters), and the response returns its templateId. If an export fails, the error says why:
INTEGRATION_NOT_CONNECTED: Mailchimp isn’t connected to this brand. Connect it on the Integrations page.EXPORT_UNSUPPORTED: Mailchimp rejected a field value it doesn’t support. Change the value and export again.EXPORT_PROVIDER_ERROR: Mailchimp refused or failed the export. Check the connection and retry.
