Connect your Customer.io account to export email templates created in Brew directly to your Customer.io workspace. Ideal for transactional emails and automated messaging.

Setup Instructions

Open Integrations

Navigate to Integrations in your Brew dashboard from the sidebar.

Find Customer.io

Locate the Customer.io integration card and click Connect.

Select your Region

Choose your datacenter region:
  • US - United States datacenter
  • EU - European Union datacenter
Not sure which region you’re on? Check your Customer.io dashboard URL — EU accounts use fly.customer.io or have eu in the URL.

Go to API Credentials

In Customer.io, navigate to Settings → Account Settings → API Credentials.

Create an App API Key

Under App API Keys, click to create a new key.Give it a descriptive name like “Brew Integration” so you can identify it later.

Paste your API Key

Copy your newly created App API key and paste it into Brew, then click Connect.

Exporting a Template

Once connected, you can export any email to Customer.io:
  1. Open the email you want to export in Brew
  2. Click the Send button in the top right
  3. Select the Export tab
  4. Choose Customer.io as your destination
  5. Fill in the template details:
    • Template Name - How it will appear in Customer.io
    • Subject - The email subject line
  6. Click Export

Requirements

  • A Customer.io account
  • An App API key (not a Tracking API key)
  • Knowledge of your datacenter region (US or EU)
