# More Visual Emails, Including Your Site's Own Animations

> Changelog: Brew's email agent now designs each email's layout instead of defaulting to text, pulls your site's animations into GIFs, and makes GIFs in seconds.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **November 2026** · For current behavior, see [Emails](https://docs.brew.new/create-emails/emails.md)
> and [Assets](https://docs.brew.new/brand/assets.md).

## What Shipped

Most emails Brew wrote used to open the same way. A headline, a paragraph, a
button. On brand, but plain, and two emails from the same brand often looked
alike.

Now the email agent decides how each email should look before it writes it.
It picks from color bands in your palette, product cut-outs, backgrounds drawn
from your brand, and buttons with a little depth. A product launch and a
monthly digest no longer come out in the same shape.

We tested it on ten brands we had never used before, with four briefs each,
sent twice. On the old version, 12% of those emails had a visual element
beyond text and a logo. On the new one, 82% did. An email takes about 10
seconds longer to write.

## You Can Still Ask for Plain

If your brand is minimal, say so. "Flat buttons" keeps buttons flat. "Text
only, no images" gets you a letter. The agent follows your brief over its own
choices.

## Your Site's Animations Become GIFs

When you add a brand, Brew now looks for animation on your site. It does this
while it reads your colors, fonts, and images. It keeps media that moves by itself:

* product videos
* Lottie, Rive, and WebGL animations
* animated SVGs, GIFs, and WebP files
* your header logo's own animation

Brew captures each one on its own, with cookie banners and sticky headers
hidden, and turns it into a GIF sized for email. It reviews them and keeps up
to four. They land in [Assets](https://docs.brew.new/brand/assets.md) and on the brand's ready card in
chat. The email agent uses them where an animation helps.

It skips carousels, scrolling marquees, hover effects, and typed headlines.
As GIFs, those come out cut off or off-topic.

If your site has no self-playing media, you get no animations. Capture runs
beside brand setup and never slows it down.

## GIFs in Seconds

Making a GIF from a prompt or an image used to mean rendering a short video
first. Now it's one generation, usually 7 to 20 seconds.

Prices didn't change: 20 credits from a prompt, 10 from an image or a video.
See [Credits](https://docs.brew.new/api-reference/api/credits.md).

In chat, ask for example *"animate the hero image with subtle movement."*
Over the API, `POST /v1/content/gif` takes a new `frameCount`. The response
no longer has `videoUrl` or `generatedImageUrl`; the
[API Changelog](https://docs.brew.new/changelog/api.md) has the details.

## Get Started

Start a new email in chat and describe it the way you'd brief a designer. To
get a brand's animations, add it from the brand pill in the sidebar with
**Add brand**. [Prompt Guide](https://docs.brew.new/create-emails/prompt-guide.md)
has briefs that work well.
