# Export to Loops

> Changelog: Send a finished Brew design to Loops as an editable campaign draft, or download a ZIP that keeps the rendered design. Dry-run it from the API first.

<Note>
  **October 2026** · The ZIP option needs a paid Brew plan. For current behavior, see [Loops](/integrations/export/loops).
</Note>

## What Shipped

Loops is now an export destination. Design the email in Brew, then hand it to
Loops in one of two forms.

* **An editable campaign draft.** Brew converts the design to LMX, the Loops
  editor format, and creates a draft in your Loops account. Text, headings,
  links, buttons, lists, and static images stay editable there.
* **A ZIP that keeps the rendered design.** Download the ZIP from Brew and
  upload it to a Loops email under **Code styling**. The layout arrives exactly
  as Brew rendered it.

Export creates a draft. It does not send or schedule anything, and it does not
copy your contacts or audiences.

## How It Works

<Steps>
  <Step title="Connect Loops">
    In Loops, open **Settings → API** and create a key. In Brew, select the
    brand, open **Integrations**, click the **Loops** card, paste the key, and
    click **Connect**. Brew checks the key and campaign access without
    creating a draft.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Export the design">
    Open the email and choose **Send → Export template → Loops**. Check the
    name, subject, and preview text, then click **Create draft**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review in Loops">
    Click **See draft**. Check the layout, personalization, sender, and
    audience in Loops before you send.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What the Editable Export Carries

Brew adapts the layout to the Loops editor. Nested cards become flat
sections, nested column rows stack inside their parent, and table data stays
editable as rows. Decorative textures fall back to their solid color.

Editable exports take up to 100KB of LMX. Images must be public HTTPS PNG,
JPEG, GIF or WebP, 4MB each and 20MB in all. Brew checks these limits before
it creates the campaign.

When the design needs the exact rendering, use the ZIP instead.

## From an Agent or Code

Call `export_email` over MCP, or send `POST /v1/emails/{emailId}/export` with
`provider` set to `loops`. Pass `dryRun: true` first: it checks the
connection, design, and images without creating a draft.

```bash theme={null}
curl --request POST "https://brew.new/api/v1/emails/EMAIL_ID/export" \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $BREW_API_KEY" \
  --header "Content-Type: application/json" \
  --header "Idempotency-Key: UNIQUE_EXPORT_KEY" \
  --data '{"provider":"loops","templateName":"Welcome","dryRun":true}'
```

Set `dryRun` to `false` to create the draft. The response's `templateId` is
the Loops campaign ID. The guide lists the three error codes an export can
return.

## Get Started

Connect Loops under **Integrations**, then export your next design from the
**Send** menu. The [Loops guide](/integrations/export/loops) covers the ZIP
option, the editable-export limits, and how Loops fills the organization
footer. The [API changelog](/changelog/api) has the contract.
