# Domain Deliverability Score

> Changelog: Every sending domain now has a 0 to 100 deliverability score, with the five parts behind it and what to fix first, in the app and over the API.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **October 2026** · For current behavior, see [Domains](/domains/domains.md).

## What Shipped

Knowing whether your mail would reach the inbox used to mean three tools. A
seed test showed where one email landed, and a DNS checker covered SPF, DKIM,
and DMARC. Reputation was a guess.

Now every sending domain has one score, from 0 to 100, on its own page under
**Domains**. It carries a label such as **Needs work** and shows how it moved
since the last check. It also lists what to fix first.

## Five Parts, One Number

| Part | What it reads |
| - | - |
| **Inbox placement** | Where test sends to seed inboxes landed |
| **Authentication** | SPF, DKIM, and DMARC in the domain's DNS |
| **Reputation** | Your sending history |
| **Content** | Your recent sends |
| **Sending setup** | How far the domain is through warm-up |

Below the score, Brew says whether the domain is ready for campaigns. Each
thing to fix comes with a suggested next step. The page reads as a to-do list,
not a report.

## Check It Again

**1. Open the domain**

Go to **Domains** in the sidebar and pick the domain.

**2. Read what to fix**

The list under the score names each problem and its next step.
**Show the last check** opens the full result.

**3. Run check**

**Run check** sends a fresh test to Gmail, Microsoft, Yahoo, and Apple
inboxes. A new check uses credits; see [Credits](/api-reference/api/credits.md).

Brew saves a snapshot each time a check finishes, a placement test completes,
or the domain is verified. That is how the page shows the trend.

## See Where Each Variant Landed

A check doesn't send one email. It sends five content variants: Plain note,
Text-forward, Balanced, Image-heavy, and Promotional. **Show the last check**
opens the table **Where the test emails landed**.

Each row is a variant, and each column is a provider: Gmail, Microsoft, Yahoo,
Apple, and other. A cell reads **Inbox**, **Promo**, or **Spam**, with how many
seed mailboxes reported. So before you ramp, you know which shape of email
reaches the inbox at each provider.

Some mailboxes report late. When they do, the table says the results are
partial.

## From an Agent or Code

Ask your agent "how healthy is mail.acme.com?" It calls `get_domain_health`, a
free read. The result has the score, a verdict of `healthy`, `at_risk`, or
`critical`, and the signals behind it.

`include: ["scoreHistory"]` adds up to 50 saved snapshots, newest first, and
`["scoreRuns"]` adds the last 5 automated checks. Code uses
`GET /v1/domains/{domainId}/health`, `brew.domains.health()` in the SDK, or
`domains health` in the CLI.

## Get Started

Open **Domains** in the sidebar and pick a domain. [Domains](/domains/domains.md)
covers the score, the unsubscribe list, and the DNS records.
[Verify Your Sending Domain](/get-started/verify-your-sending-domain.md) covers
the setup.
