# Assets

> Find, upload, and edit the logos and images Brew puts in your emails, on the Assets page or from an agent over MCP and the API.

Assets holds every logo and image Brew can put in an email, in one gallery. Open it from **Assets** in the sidebar. Extraction seeds it from your site, and it grows as you upload and as Brew makes images for you.

Anyone who can see the brand can browse the gallery and attach assets to a chat. Uploading, editing, and deleting need edit access to the brand.

## Find an Image

Filter the gallery by kind:

| Filter | What it shows |

| **All** | Everything below |
| **Brand images** | Images from your site or that you uploaded, including the site's social preview image and a screenshot of the site |
| **Generated** | Images made with Brew, in chat or with `generate_image` over MCP or the API |
| **Logos** | Your brand's logos and icons |

The gallery lists the newest first. Switch the sort to **Oldest first** to start from the other end.

Search finds brand and generated images by what they show. Results come back best match first, so the sort reads **Best match** until you clear the search.

Hover a tile and click **Add to chat** in its corner to attach it to the chat composer. Click a tile to open it full size.

## Upload Images and Logos

Click **Upload**. Drop files in **From computer**, or paste public image links in **From links**. Mark each one as an **Image** or a **Logo**, then click **Upload**.

## Crop and Adjust an Image

Open an image in the gallery and click **Crop and adjust**. The editor can:

* **Crop** to any shape (**Free**) or to a fixed ratio: 1:1, 4:3, 16:9, or 3:1.
* **Rotate** left or right, and **flip** horizontally or vertically.
* Change **brightness**, **contrast**, and **saturation**.

Click **Save as new image**. Brew saves the result as a new image next to the original and opens it. A brand image's copy lands under **Brand images** and a generated image's under **Generated**. The original doesn't change.

Crop and adjust isn't offered for logos, GIFs, or images hosted on other sites.

## From an Agent

`search_brand_images` over [MCP](/api-reference/mcp/tools) lists the same gallery. Pass `kind` (`logo`, `brand`, or `generated`) to filter it and `sort` (`newest` or `oldest`) to order it. Browsing is free. A search with `q` costs 1 credit for its first page, and later pages are free (see [Credits](/api-reference/api/credits)). Over the API it's `GET /v1/brand/images`. Every row carries an `assetId`, the id the app opens at `/assets?image=<assetId>`.

`generate_image` saves each image it makes under **Generated**, and `add_image` hosts images from external links in the brand library.

Crop and adjust is app-only. For an agent, `transform_image` (`POST /v1/content/transform`) resizes an image to exact dimensions, optimizes it, or removes its background.
